You have to be quick to catch an Emonda, and this one was no exception.

But as always we're determined to bring you the finest Bespoke bikes, and so we raced against the dusk, the impending snow, and the customer handover deadline to grab some photos of this superlight Trek Emonda before it left us.

Just 5.62 kg on the shop scales, fully loaded and ready to ride.

Take a look at that understated wheelset - it doesn't need to shout, it's hand crafted in Germany by carbon wizards ax-lightness. These are matched with the super-stiff, super-light and extremely elegant ax-lightness bar and stem.

The quality of engineering of these parts really is remarkable - to achieve such minimal weight whilst retaining stiffness and strength requires serious expertise (the stem weighs as little as 68g, depending on length).

Bontrager's Speed Stop Pro calipers don't let the side down. Just 95g, with hollow arms and Ti hardware, these direct mount brakes stand toe to toe with any 'boutique' brand.

The SRAM eTap groupset is a wise choice for the weight conscious, and the lack of cables makes for an especially elegant bike. Quarq power cranks provide valuable data with minimal additional weight.
