The steel Planet X is a cyclocross race beast and this is one of the classiest builds we've seen. Its full custom geometry and precise welds stand up to the brutal conditions of cyclocross, but Haakon can also be assured of looking good whenever he rides it.
The steel Planet X features added chainstay clearance for rapid evacuation of mud, a tall bottom bracket for clearing obstacles, ample room in the mainframe for portaging, and a front end that maximizes handling characteristics. This all adds up to a highly versatile bike: racing cross, riding rugged terrain, winter bike, bikepacking...
Using Ultegra electronic with hydaulic braking as the base, Haakon saved weight and added some wow factor with Cannondale's insanely light SiSL Hollowgram crank and direct mount chainrings. ENVE was the obvious choice for finishing kit: tough, light, good looks.
HED Belgium + rims have a wide profile to give a stable and tubular-like ride as well as being super tough. Laced to some gold Chris King hubs, yu can't go wrong. While we're at it, the matching Chris King headset keeps the theme going, beautifully matching the excellent IF paint work.
The Cinelli leather tape is not something you see every day, but its luxurious looks fit perfectly, as does the colour. We love that this will age with use too, and only look better.
A stunning bike Haakon, thanks for working with Bespoke on this!
