The latest generation Madone really is a superb evolution of Trek's classic road bike. Adding in an IsoSpeed decoupler to the top tube brings an extra degree of comfort without any additional weight compared to the previous model (and it's adjustable, too).
This is a true performance bike, and as such the SLR 9 benefits from Trek's "H1.5" geometry - striking a sensible balance between the pure race-day focus of their aggressive H1 fit and the more relaxed everyday-performance H2. Combined with the neatly integrated two-piece bar and stem (with a fantastic range of options to neatly add GPS, lights, etc) this makes the bike a real pleasure to fit and highly adaptable to the individual rider.
Of course it goes without saying that the Madone is supremely aero, and this disc brake version carries no drag penalty compared to its rim-brake stablemate.
This being a Project One bike each component has been carefully selected as part of a custom build, and the icing on the cake is that hand painted ICON "refliptive" colour scheme, which changes shade depending on the angle of view and is truly stunning in the sunlight.
