We're excited to announce the addition of a new framebuilder to
our carefully curated collection of world-class brands.
ISEN Workshop design, hand-build and hand-paint their beautifully
finished framesets here in London, crafting them from steel
(including full or part stainless options), titanium and carbon
fibre. Each bike is unique and custom geometry comes as standard on
our Bespoke builds.
above: this titanium All-Season was a star of the 2019 Chris King Open House, ISEN were invited to showcase the Ltd Ed. Matte Bourbon components. See our full gallery here.
We don't take on an additional brand lightly, and we've spent
time getting to know the bikes, the brand, and - most importantly -
the people. Caren and Matt are experienced, award-winning
framebuilders in their own right (as Hartley Cycles and Talbot
Frameworks respectively) and together they lead a close-knit team
at ISEN to bring their passion for bespoke bikes, crafted from
carefully selected materials, to a wider audience.
ISEN produce their bikes from design to paint entirely in their
London workshops. With their emphasis on a tailored approach they
couldn't be a better match for us. There is no "standard" ISEN
bike; They take a starting point such as the R3 Road model or the
All-Season gravel/adventure frame and choose from the best tubing
that Reynolds, Columbus and Deddaciai have to offer, mixing and
matching to achieve the desired ride quality and stiffness.
below: the R3 is ISEN's unapologetically speed-focused race bike, this example blending stainless steel and carbon for a finely tuned ride. Read more and view the full gallery.
Do you want not just an integrated seatpost, but a carbon
integrated seatpost? No problem, that's an option. S&S couplers
for maximum travel-ability? Of course. Extra bosses? Just choose
where you want them to go. From BB type to the choice of disc or
rim brakes, you can make every last detail your own.
We couldn't fail to mention those awesome paint schemes. ISEN's
paint is, of course, done in-house here in London (see a pattern
emerging?) and their gorgeous trademark #sikcandyfadez® paint
schemes are individually handpainted (with matching custom-painted
contact points available too).
From their London base ISEN have rapidly achieved international recognition, most recently winning plaudits at the NAHBS in California. The blue stainless bike - above, photographed by our own Bobby Whittaker - was selected by Chris King Components for their 2019 Open House, to showcase their Matt Bourbon Limited Edition collection. When the masters of precision bike engineering call, you know you're doing it right!
We'll be taking you Behind the Scenes for a look at the ISEN workshop - our photos here are just the tip of the iceberg - look out for more coming soon.
Intrigued by ISEN? As always we're here to answer any questions.
You can read more about ISEN and their bikes here, and we have
a couple of gorgeous examples on display now at Bespoke Gresham
Street, so you can appreciate first-hand the quality that goes into
every frame.
