Trek's Project One custom programme provides the perfect way to make your new bike your own. Regularly refreshed with new designs and options, we recently saw the introduction of three new ICON paint schemes alongside the launch of the latest Émonda.
Now, with the launch of the next generation Madone, Trek have unveiled a couple of stunning new Artist Series paint schemes, plus some new spec options for your custom build:
Bright and bold, this is a modern take on the always popular 'paint spatter' effect.
"When Trek's Product Graphic Designer, Gregory Thorne, began
work on the Abstract series, he wanted to explore a different way
of applying paint to a bike by physically painting a piece of
artwork, photographing the completed canvas, and applying it to
Trek's decal template. This resulted in a blend of physical brush
strokes, spray lines and paint splatter unlike anything possible
with the traditional frame-painting process."
"The colours Thorne chose were meant to be bold and in your face -
or, in his words, 'scream neon techno punk'."
My personal favourite of the new finishes, especially on the white frame as seen here. Bold, modern and fresh.
Trek say: "Micah Moran is a racer in practice
and at heart, and as Trek's Senior Product Graphic Designer, he's
constantly reminded of Trek's rich racing history. So when he set
out to create Palmarès, he dedicated himself to making something
representative of Trek's storied past and indicative of a boundless
future."
"Palmarès is made up of quilt-inspired depictions of iconic team
kits and champion jerseys from Trek's vast history of sponsorships
and race victories. Every jersey in this design was won and worn by
someone riding a Trek, from Katie Compton's stars and bars to the
iconic RadioShack jersey and the Tour de France's coveted maillot
jaune. In the essence of traditional quilt making, this paint
scheme represents an enduring legacy and a community brought
together by a love for cycling."
In addition to the new paint schemes Trek are now offering SRAM Force eTap AXS on a number of their P1 road builds, broadening the options for wireless 12-speed shifting.
They've also added the fantastic new Aeolus RSL integrated bar/stem to the option list, along with the latest range of Bontrager wheels (including the 1325g Aeolus RSL 37 carbon wheelset).
There's a full selection of their latest saddle range, too. Plus a new splatter fade paint option exclusively for their MTB lineup.
