The latest generation Madone is already an extremely versatile Aero Road bike, particularly with the adjustable top-tube IsoSpeed suspension that gives extra comfort without sacrificing any aero performance.
For the dedicated TT/Tri rider the Speed Concept has always been the natural choice - a highly focused speed machine with a very specific purpose.
But not everyone wants or needs to add a dedicated Tri bike to their stable. It's for these riders, seeking maximum versatility, that the new Madone Speed Six will be of particular interest...
Taking the same aero frameset as the rest of the Madone range, the Speed Six adds a unique twist with a set of included aero bar extensions. These integrate neatly and efficiently into the front end, easily bolting on and off the aero bars in moments with simple allen key fixings.
Yes it's always been possible to bolt on a set of aftermarket bar extensions, but this is a significantly neater and more elegant solution, with bars that have been designed from the ground up to work perfectly with the bike as a whole.
It's a neat idea, giving you the best of both worlds, and it's sure to be popular.
If you already own a recent Madone, the good news is that the new Speed Concept Mono Bar Extension and stem faceplate will also be available to purchase separately, and are compatible with all 2019 and newer Madone SLR models.
